Course Description Part 1 In the class students will learn about refrigeration theory pertaining to mini splits, the four basic components of a refrigeration circuit, operation of a Split System Air Conditioner and Heat Pump, HVAC specific tools, and best practices on basic installation of AC units. 2-3 hours will be hands on learning.
Part 2 VRF Product training including Gree and Panasonic products. Students will learn about product lines, how mini splits operate, install techniques, and basic service of mini splits and VRF systems.

EPA 608 Technician Certification Testing Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques by passing the EPA 608 Technician Certification exam. At the end of this class, you will be licensed by the EPA to handle and purchase refrigerant.
