EDUCATION APPLICATIONS

UV Lighting Solutions Applications / Education
From daycares to universities, UV and anti-microbial lighting products can benefit all education sectors. Distance learning has become increasingly popular but in some cases, it isn't a feasible option for some students. We can do our due diligence with wiping down hard surfaces with disinfectant wipes and trying to maintain social distancing; however objects such as books and worksheets cannot be wiped down. The use of UV can help minimize the risk of infection to students, teachers, and staff by disinfecting hard to clean objects and improve air quality.

Ways UV Lighting Can Help Schools Stay Safe

Air Quality

Air quality is one of the top concerns of sending students back to school. The CDC recommends opening windows to increase fresh air from windows and doors when possible, in addition to all staff following the CDC's and state's safety protocols including social distancing and wearing face coverings. Installing HVAC retrofits with UVC technology will help reduce the spread of infection and improve the overall health of your HVAC system.

Mobile Units

Mobile units with UVC technology are used in unoccupied rooms to remove germs left behind from manual cleaning and disinfect hard to reach surfaces. After manually cleaning a room, staff members simply wheel in a mobile unit, set up a short cycle, and leave the room to allow the UVC light to kill 99.99% of the pathogens. Mobile units use UVC that can be harmful to skill or eyes and have several safety features in place to protect users against accidental exposure. Features like intrusion detection and built-in delays ensure user safety.
